Local Elections May 2016

Although we didn't win any seats, congrats to the Great Yarmouth Green Party Candidates that stood in yesterdays election. Each candidate got a higher percentage of votes than in the previous elections, showing that we are steadily on the rise. Congrats to Josh Turton in particular who managed to get 13.2% of the vote in the Magdalen ward, compared to 3.7% for the 2015 election! See the full increases in the picture below:

Although this might not seem like a win, the fact that we're steadily winning more votes is definately something to celebrate. Between now and the next elections we vow to do even more campaigning and ensure that we have even more candidates to stand; indeed our only regret from this election was that not everyone got a chance to vote Green.
